What changed in 0.6.0-alpha — 3 Nov 2026

• The game is now called Mantis Crusader (was Star Crusader): title screen, browser tab, share preview and the offline file (Mantis-Crusader-0.6.0-alpha.html).
• New home on the web: the Mantisware studio page at mantisware.gg, with the game at mantisware.gg/mantis-crusader. The studio page lists what changed in the newest release.
• A small Mantisware link on the title screen goes back to the studio page.
• Releases publish themselves: tagging a version builds the site and puts it live.
• Two more trinkets, completing all 24: - Blood Memory: shows the nemesis's *next* attack a round early, in orange beside its red marks. A tile in both flashes red and orange. - Breachman's Kit: the crusader searches crates for free.
• Crates can be searched during site fights: tap one to search it (1 AP), or tap it from further away to walk over and search. Any squad member can search, and a Mimic posing as a crate springs its ambush. Crate outlines now also show during site fights.
• The Eel Growth's surfacing marker is purple (orange now means Blood Memory).
• Update notice: on the website, when a newer version goes live, an Update button appears beside ⚙ on the title, star map and ship screens. It never interrupts a fight or reloads by itself: on the title screen it refreshes; elsewhere it says to Save & Exit first.
• Feedback and Buy Me a Coffee in the title screen corner: Feedback opens the feedback form in a new tab, with the version, last run's seed and system, and device filled in so a reported run can be replayed. Buy Me a Coffee is a "☕ Donate :)" button in BMC's style, linking to buymeacoffee.com/mantisware (just the ☕ on phones).
• Saves know their version: each save records the game version and a save format. A save an update can't convert shows as "Saved by <version>, which this version can't continue" and can only be deleted, instead of misbehaving.
